Product Description
A beautifully detailed classical plaster corbel, drawing on the decorative vocabulary of Regency and early Victorian interiors. Three crisp horizontal bands follow the scrolled face — a delicate water-leaf pattern — finishing in a scrolled volute set with a small rosette. The sides are decorated with a finely cast paterae.
Equally suited to flanking a fire surround, supporting a mantel shelf, dressing the underside of a bookcase, or set as a pair on either side of a doorway. The shallow, evenly cast relief takes paint beautifully and reads cleanly under any lighting.
Hand cast in fine gypsum plaster at our Surrey workshop using the traditional fibrous plaster method — reinforced with jute scrim and timber laths for strength and longevity. Each piece is finished by hand and supplied ready to fix, prime and paint.
