About Plaster Mouldings Direct

We're a family-run fibrous plaster workshop based in Egham, Surrey, with over thirty years' experience producing handcrafted plaster mouldings for some of the most demanding interiors in the country.

The business is run by Stewart Little — master craftsman, City & Guilds trained, London-schooled — alongside his son Blenheim, a highly skilled craftsman in his own right and the next generation of the family trade. Stewart's daughter Mary works alongside her father and brother in the workshop, a skilled caster in her own right with a real eye for detail at the bench. She also runs the brand's social media and communications, sharing the work that goes on behind the scenes and connecting the workshop to a wider audience.

We're a small team by design: every piece that leaves our workshop has been touched by hand, finished by eye, and signed off by family.

The Workshop

Our work is fibrous plaster — the traditional method of casting plaster reinforced with jute scrim and timber laths. It's the same technique used to decorate Britain's great houses, ballrooms, theatres and hotels for the last two centuries. Properly made, it lasts longer than the building it sits in. We don't shortcut the process, and we don't substitute polyurethane or MDF for the real thing.

We cast from over a thousand original moulds — many decades old, some over a century — alongside new designs we develop in-house. If a mould doesn't exist, we'll make one. If a piece needs matching to existing original work in a heritage property, we'll take a pattern, cast a duplicate, and install it so the join is invisible.

Who We've Worked With

Our work has been commissioned by The Ivy, ITV, Spotify, and L'Oréal. We've worked on private residences, listed buildings, restaurants, hotels, and stage sets. We supply trade fitters, interior designers, architects, and individual homeowners restoring period property. Whether it's a single ceiling rose for a Victorian terrace or full architectural restoration of a Grade II listed manor, we approach every job with the same standard.
