Product Description
A handsome acanthus scroll plaster corbel — substantially proportioned and deeply detailed, with a bold acanthus leaf running the full face of the corbel from a scrolled volute at the top to a small scrolled foot at the base. A crisp moulded shelf sits above, ready to support a mantel, shelf or beam.
Cast from our newly-made mould, this is a fresh take on a classical Victorian corbel — the deep undercutting and crisp foliate detail make it one of the most expressive pieces in our range. Equally suited to beam supports ,supporting a mantel shelf, dressing a kitchen island, or as feature brackets either side of a doorway or window.
Hand-cast in finest gypsum plaster at our Surrey workshop using the traditional fibrous plaster method, reinforced with jute scrim and timber laths for strength and longevity. Each piece is hand-finished and supplied ready to fix, prime and paint.
